ENDOBRONCHIAL THERAPY IN CHRONIC BRONCHITIS PATIENTS

Summary
The paper is devoted to questions related to the endobronchial administration of medicamentous agents — antibacterial preparations, expectorants, etc. in the treatment of chronic bronchitis. A modified turbo-inhaler «Spinhaler» is used for the endobronchial introduction of an expectorant—sodium bicarbonate in a powder form. The effect of the method is underlain by stimulation of a cough mechanism responsible for the evacuation of the bronchial contents and simultaneous improvement of their rheological properties. Clinical data are presented which confirm high effectiveness of the method.
